... For before I could barley stand. It started when I awoke. It was easy once there was no fight, only peace. I could do as I pleased and I had no desire for anything else. Then I was woken. The air became dry as the pleasures I once had became unpleasant, the struggle unbearable. I though someone was to blame, but I just fought the wind. For the battle was really within.

I battled best I could but to no effect, my sinful nature was too strong and overpowering. It was a losing battle, every time I opposed I lost before I was even aware of my opponent. By myself I could do nothing.

The Lord heard me as I cried to him of my hate for sin, and he gave me strength. He clothed me and made me strong. I know I am not able to be
completely rid of my sinful person until I receive a new body, but now I am able to make a stand as God changes my nature to be more like his.

I have only begun to fight, now with God; to fight me
